MISSION STATEMENT

 

The Walpole Island First Nation Human Resources Department shall enhance the spirit of the Community by inspiring employees to achieve excellence beyond excellence. To hold ourselves and each other accountable for the success of the organization and for creating a community where respect for the individual and his/her dignity is consistently honoured.

PHILOSOPHY

Walpole Island First Nation’s philosophy encourages a strong, vital, and knowledgeable workforce. In accordance with that philosophy the department strives to:

COMMUNITY

Services provided are based on the Human Resources’ Mandate which is to respond to the diverse needs of the Walpole Island First Nation employees, our most valuable asset, by promoting open communication and a positive work environment through:
