The Finance department role is to accurately record the financial activity of all WIFN Programs and to provide timely reports for management decisions.
To ensure the daily operations of the Finance Department reflect Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and meet the Walpole Island First Nation Philosophy, Financial Regulations and Mission Statements. To also provide the necessary fiscal support services for the organization. By following the above mandate, we ensure that all activity is in the best interest of WIFN members.

We assist 24 Supervisors who manage 115 Programs/6 band buildings and various Casino Rama initiatives. The Finance Department records the issue and collection of fishing and hunting licenses to various outlets and individuals.
